Meet Me Here Plaza

Basketball was a fundamental piece of my childhood. I think every young black kid has either had hoop dreams or written the wackest 16-bars to recite in a basement.

A court this beautiful was long overdue in Cleveland. Across multiple visits, I witnessed crowds gather in communal viewing, an overseas pro destroy a young gentleman with a windmill dunk, and met two kids whose brotherly love could light up the entire world.

I let the little homies take my 50+ year old Polaroid SX-70 for a spin — they were enamored at the mere sight of this analog artifact. After some digital images, I took two of them with the SX-70, and they ran around with them like they were trophies.
