Cuyahoga Community College | Fall 2023

In collaboration with the Cleveland Print Room and Cuyahoga Community College, (and a special thank you to Fujifilm Instax North America), I designed and led an eight-week Street Photography program that encompassed the fundamentals of Photography, the history of Street Photography, and deep exploration of the Cleveland cityscape.

Our lessons explored key aspects of visual arts fundamentals. Week by week, students learned key elements of composition, visual storytelling, and the unwritten rules of observation to supplement their creative voices.

With examples from my career and catalog, students gained in-the-moment examples of best practices, techniques, professional recommendations, and mentorship regarding Photography and beyond.

Through exploring the rich catalogs of artists such as William Eggleston, Gordon Parks, Janet Delaney, Vivian Maier, and Walker Evans, students learned about those who laid the foundation of this art form, as well as what they can uniquely make their own.
