Togetherness | Cleveland Play House, May 2025

May, 2025

In collaboration with Cleveland Play House, the first regional theatre district in America, and curator/Associate Professor of Photography Daniel Levin, we’re presenting “Our Shtetls: Time & Togetherness” in the beautiful Hall of Mirrors art gallery of the Allen Theatre. Two separate collections, displayed side by side, exploring constellations of humanity.

My individual collection, Togetherness, explores themes of community, quiet beauty, and everyday life in Cleveland. My images, made over five years, provide a deeply personal yet universally relatable insight into the city's spirit and our societal age.

Emphasizing focus on aesthetic form, rhythms of communities, and poetic stories of everyday life are expressed in each frame.

Below are the images that comprise my collection.

The Way We Looked features Solomon Ludovin's masterful photographs, created between 1912 and 1914 in Ukraine before World War I.

This insightful gallery pairs our two separate collections, thus exploring themes of community and human dignity across time, and will be displayed in tandem with Play House’s month-long showings of Fiddler on the Roof.

Below are images of the collection, mounted on the beautiful walls of the Allen Theatre’s Hall of Mirrors.

I give special thanks to Marcela Rodriguez-Gonzalez and Pamela DiPasquale of Cleveland Play House for this opportunity, as well as their magnetic energy.
